The Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) is taking a bold step toward sustainability and long term growth by postponing its signature Immersion Trip to November 2026. This decision, though difficult, reflects our commitment to responsible stewardship in light of shifting federal funding priorities that have directly and indirectly impacted FYLPRO’s program budget.
As a volunteer driven nonprofit, FYLPRO is guided by its mission and values. We are embracing this moment as an opportunity to invest in our future by choosing to focus on strengthening our foundation through strategic planning, renewed alumni and member engagement, and innovative fund development strategies.
To chart this new course, FYLPRO will host a Leadership Summit in Fall 2025, bringing together our community to reconnect, reflect, and reimagine FYLPRO so that it can sustain unexpected changes as we recently experienced. This summit will celebrate our kapwa — the spirit of shared identity and collective uplift that unites us and creates space to align our work with the evolving needs of our global Filipino community.
Since 2012, the Immersion Trip has transformed lives by bridging cultures, building lifelong bonds, and deepening connections to the Philippines. While the Immersion Program takes a pause, our purpose does not. FYLPRO remains committed to cultivating leadership and meaningful impact.
We look forward to returning in 2026 with renewed purpose and greater resilience.
