Apply now for the 2026 FYLPRO Immersion Program, scheduled for the week of Sunday, November 29 to Friday, December 4, 2026.

NOTE: Given that FYLPRO temporarily paused its Immersion Program activities in 2025, those who would have been eligible to apply in 2025 with respect to age are welcome and invited to apply for the 2026 Immersion Program.

FYLPRO works with the Philippine Embassies to Canada and the United States and the Consulates General in Canada and the United States to search for the most outstanding, next-generation Filipinos in Canada and the United States between the ages of 25 to 45 (46 in 2026 only) to participate in its distinguished Immersion Program in the Philippines.

Complete your application at fylpro.awardspring.com no later than Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

As part of the application, you will need to:

  • Upload your resume. For your resume, please cite involvement in your school, civic or community organizations. Provide information on the name of the organization, position in the organization, duties and significant accomplishments, and dates of membership. This will be an opportunity to highlight specific examples when you exhibited leadership skills and the ways in which you have been active with the active in the Filipino, Filipino Canadian, and/or Filipino American communities and advocating Philippine interests.  Feel free to add additional pages to your standard resume.
  • Propose a Legacy Project. Legacy Projects are social impact projects focused on the Philippines and Filipino communities abroad that are social enterprises, philanthropic causes, or civic engagement initiatives. Each delegate must complete a Legacy Project after returning from the Immersion Program. The programming for the 2026 Immersion Program will be customized to focus on the delegates' interests and ideas for their Legacy Projects.
  • Answer three key questions (limited to 500 words per question).
  • What factors influenced your decision to apply to FYLPRO?
  • What do you think are the main challenges facing the Philippines? (enumerate no more than 3) Why do these issues matter to you and what would you recommend to the Philippine government as solutions for these issues?
  • How do you plan to share what you learned from FYLPRO to your peers and stakeholders? How do you intend to use your leadership skills to contribute to the advancement of the interests of Filipinos and to the development of the Philippines?

To complete your application, you must have two references complete a reference questionnaire on your behalf no later than Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. In the application, please provide the name and contact information for each of your two references. We will then reach out to your references with a link to the questionnaire.

Applications without two completed reference questionnaires will not be considered. Furthermore, the selection committee will not read any letters of recommendation submitted outside the responses in the reference questionnaires.
