New Board Members Join FYLPRO Leadership in 2026

The Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) is pleased to announce its 2026 Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Board Member Daniel Galeon was elected as FYLPRO’s President Elect while Christine Melendres was re-elected for another term as a member of the board of trustees during the October election.

Joining the board as new directors are Melvin Joseph Labao Dizon of Kapolei, Hawaii and Jewls Lagman of Fullerton, California.

“Each election marks a new chapter in FYLPRO’s story, anchored in service, community, and our shared commitment to uplifting Filipinos across the global diaspora,” said President Genevieve Jopanda. “We’re deeply grateful to our newly elected and returning board members for their dedication and willingness to serve. Their leadership and  passion inspire us to keep growing FYLPRO as a bridge that connects, empowers, and builds pathways for the next generation of Filipino leaders while strengthening our bond to the communities we serve.”

The new leadership will assume their roles in January 2026 –  taking the helm of the nonprofit FYLPRO to fulfill its mission to identify young Filipino-American leaders and reconnect them with their cultural heritage and history; provide professional development to empower them to positively impact their communities; and give them the tools and networks to nurture and grow Philippines-US relations in the areas of government, business, and philanthropic and humanitarian initiatives.

The members of the 2026 Board of Directors are FYLPRO alumni and members from across the nation in multiple industries including business, nonprofits, public health, journalism and tech.
