FYLPRO’s 2025 Tayo Fellows Announce Virtual Youth Summit ‘Pamana: A New Generation, A United Truth’
Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO)’s 2025 Tayo Fellows are excited to announce its inaugural virtual Youth Summit, “Pamana: A New Generation, A United Truth,” this fall on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 7-9:30 PM EST.
In a time where future leaders are facing the issue of disinformation and historical revisionism, it is imperative that young Filipinos are equipped to not only evaluate information, but advocate for truth.
The summit is being organized by 2025 Tayo fellows Michael Orilla, Mona Yadav Olivia Natividad, and Serena Mackay with assistance from Tayo Supervisor Joed Garbo.
The goals of the Summit are to educate Filipino youth on the impact of disinformation on historical narratives and civic engagement and how we can actively combat it; develop critical thinking and media literacy skills that empower youth to evaluate the credibility of information; and inspire a new generation of Filipino leaders who are informed, engaged, and committed to protecting and passing down the truths of history.
This event is open to all individuals who share the goal of preserving history for generations to come.
