2026 Filipino Young Leaders Program Immersion Program Applications Are Now Open

The Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) is proud to announce that applications are now open for its 2026 Immersion Program, marking a major milestone in the organization’s continued growth and commitment to strengthening Filipino diaspora leadership across North America.

For the first time, FYLPRO is expanding eligibility to include Filipino Canadians, opening the program to emerging leaders from Canada alongside applicants from the United States. With nearly 1 million Filipinos in Canada, this expansion reflects FYLPRO’s broader vision of engaging the global Filipino diaspora and building stronger bridges between the Philippines, the United States, and Canada.

Since 2012, the FYLPRO Immersion Program has served as the organization’s signature leadership experience in partnership with the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs, the Philippine Embassy in the United States, and now with expanded engagement through the Philippine Embassy in Canada.

This year, the Immersion Program is scheduled to take place from November 29 through December 4.

The week-long program brings together high-performing Filipino and Filipino diaspora leaders between the ages of 25 to 45 (46 in 2026 only) from across different industries and sectors for a transformative experience in the Philippines. Delegates meet with business, government, community, cultural, and civic leaders while deepening their understanding of the Philippines and identifying opportunities to contribute to the progress of the global Filipino community.

“As FYLPRO approaches its 15th year as an organization, our expansion into Canada is more than a milestone. It is a reflection of our growth,” said Genevieve Jopanda, FYLPRO President and 2022 Immersion alumna. “We are expanding FYLPRO’s reach by investing in the relationships that move our community forward. Through our shared purpose, we are strengthening our ability to uplift Filipinos across North America and in the Philippines.”

The Immersion Program has been described by alumni as transformative, eye-opening, and life-changing. For many delegates, the experience has led to new businesses, nonprofit initiatives, policy collaborations, advocacy campaigns, and cross-border partnerships that serve Filipino and Filipino diaspora communities.

To date, FYLPRO has cultivated a network of more than 120 alumni who continue to lead across government, business, nonprofit, philanthropy, arts and culture, technology, health, education, and community development.

Applicants must complete and submit the application form by June 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.

Two letter-of-recommendation questionnaires must also be submitted by July 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.
