FYLPRO 2021-22 BOD VACANCIES

FYLPRO has an exciting year ahead so it’s not too late to get involved and serve as a board of director or join the executive committee as our FYLPRO secretary.

Here’s your last chance to participate as a member of the 2021-22 leadership team.

To understand the expectations and responsibilities involved from a FYLPRO Board member, (Duty of Care, Duty of Loyalty and Duty of Obedience) read the BOARD MANUAL and Review full BYLAWS.

Nominations for both Secretary and Board member are subject to the approval of the FYLPRO board/leadership.

The Secretary and BOD nominations positions are open to the public. We are looking to leverage the diversity of experience and networks of highly qualified individuals that align with FYLPRO’s mission.

Timeline:

  • Nominations for BOD and Secretary positions: Week of Feb. 1
  • Board reviews nominations: Week of Feb. 8 
  • Board announces new board: week of February 15

Board Secretary expectations:

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings of the Board; sign documents, such as resolutions, authorized by the Board to be executed. The Secretary shall also perform all other duties assigned by the President. The Secretary is a member of the Executive Committee and is expected to participate in Give-Get policy. ($1,000 with 50% of this amount able to be fulfilled through in-kind donations/sponsorships.)

Time commitment: Monthly meetings, Weekly ECOM check ins

Term: 2 Years

Board of Directors expectations:

A Board of Director is responsible for evaluating policy and operational decisions, setting up infrastructure, fulfilling their fiduciary duty, to enforce the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws. A Board of Director is responsible for the financial condition of the Corporation and may engage in programs to raise operational funds and is expected to participate in Give-Get policy. ($1,000 with 50% of this amount able to be fulfilled through in-kind donations/sponsorships.)

Time commitment: Monthly meetings
