Asian American Disinformation Table Report Launch: Power and Propaganda – April 29

Join FYLPRO’s Tayo and the Asian American Disinformation Table for the launch of our new report, “Where Do We Go From Here? Asian Americans, Diaspora, and Disinformation,” on April 29, 2025.

The report brings together seven case studies highlighting the historical and transnational contexts of mis/disinformation in Asian diasporic communities, including the uses of silencing and suppression as a tactic of disinformation; and tensions in media and information practices tied to generation and language. 

At the launch event we will explore the overarching themes of the report, including challenging the conventional framing of disinformation, and its implications on Asian American communities. We see this report as one intervention in today’s dangerous political landscape and hope that you will join us at our launch event to learn how it provides a tool and resource for scholars, organizations, and community members looking to understand the intersection of race, disinformation, and power.
