A MESSAGE FROM THE FYLPRO PRESIDENT

Dear Members of the FYLPRO Board of Directors and Alumni,

Mabuhay! On behalf of our partners—the Ayala Foundation, Inc. and the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. under the leadership of Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez—congratulations and maraming salamat for being part of the Filipino Young Leaders Program!

Today we are 70-strong leaders passionate about community, civic engagement, and countless other agendas; but we all have a common goal—to build, collaborate, and improve our relationship between the Filipino and the Filipino-American cultures. In addition to our count, FYLPRO has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signifying our growth from an Immersion-centric group to a more robust organization, focusing on the successes of our Legacy Projects, alumni engagement, leadership development, mentorship and fundraising.

The future of FYLPRO will be guided through you and our partners! Your expertise and aligned passion for the organization is vital to our success. Together with our partners, you will steer FYLPRO toward a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, legal governance, and financial management policies, assuring we have the adequate resources to advance our mission.

With that said and as we close out this term, we must nominate and vote for a new cohort of FYLPRO Board of Directors. The roles of the Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer will be holding a two-year term, while Board Member(s) will be taking a one-year term to join incoming president JR Canaloc beginning January 16, 2019. I ask that those who are interested in this honorable opportunity and commitment consider any of the open roles.

As stated in our BYLAWS, membership dues must be made in order to nominate and vote! Become an active member here.

Maraming salamat my brothers and sisters. I look forward to a fruitful FYLPRO future. Good luck to all the candidates.

All my best,
Dondi Leonidas Quintans
FYLPRO President
