DESCRIPTION:Join us for Seeding AFIRE x Baklaan event on October 3\, 2026 in Chicago. \nThis event is part of a research collaboration between Alliance of Filipinos for Immigrant Rights and Empowerment (AFIRE)\, FYLPRO and Tayo\, and Dr. Rachel Kuo at the University of Wisconsin-Madison focused on intergenerational and diasporic-informed solidarities and political analysis. We are interested in this conversation as part of our overall efforts to engage in the broader movement toward collective liberation. \nWe want to learn directly from our community\, and engage in topics of gender and sexuality within and across generations to better inform and impact our work. This event will allow us to co-develop an agenda for queer and trans organizing with the Filipinx/a/o community in Chicago\, facilitated in a space where we are encouraged to ask each other difficult questions.
