SUMMARY:TAYO Pilot Launch Event
DESCRIPTION:The Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) is launching the Caretaker Project’s Tayo help desk\, a virtual resource to help the Filipino community during COVID-19 on Oct. 17\, 2020.The Caretaker Project\, funded by a Booz Allen Foundation Innovation grant\, is intended to connect Filipinos with vital\, culturally relevant services; debunk misinformation; and improve collection of data to better serve the community. This project aims to fill gaps in services for the most vulnerable social groups — seniors\, frontline workers\, and the unemployed. \nTayo features a mobile friendly resource that includes the most frequently asked questions around COVID-19 and its impact on health\, housing\, transportation and other vital information. Tayo launches in the project’s pilot city\, Los Angeles\, where there are about 500\,000 FIlipinos. \nOn Saturday at 4PM PT/7PM ET\, a virtual launch event will feature a demo of the Tayo platform and remarks from community partners. \nREGISTER: www.fylpro.org/tayo
